Organic Silver PMC RingC

Thur Feb 2, 2017 10:30am to 6pm

This is always my most popular class! These rings are so much fun to make and every one really looks different.

You have a chance to try out PMC silver, add foolproof granulation metal clay style and create some seriously

funky hand built rings. You will learn how to size for shrinkage and finish both in green and fired state.

If you haven't worked with PMC you will be amazed by what you can do with no experience!

Please be sure to bring a great stepped ring mandrel on a stand for the best experience. I will have some PMC tools available for

use if you don't have metal clay utensils. If you are interested in purchasing a toolkit please let me know a week in advance.

The kit is on my Tools page for reference

Textured Riveted Cuff Bracelet

Fri Feb 3 2017 10:30am to 6pm

Take a piece of ABS plumbing pipe and form a fantastic lightweight cuff with a leather-like texture and a fit that is just for you.

You will create an organic silver focal, add granulation the metal clay way, patina; then rivet to your cuff. Large statement piece which is so

easy to wear and fun to make! I love mine and wear them all the time. They fit me so perfectly.

You will definitely need to bring your own Dremel Tool for this one. If you have a heat gun you won't have to share one with others.

Rustic Bark Pendant

Sat Feb 4 10:30am to 2pm

F

I am so in love with this pendant! The rustic natural charm of bark offers texture simply not available anywhere else.

Again we can use the sneaky fun type of granulation that is unique to metal clay. This is foolproof! Who can hate that?

You will learn how to make a fantastic mold from silicone that you can use over and over again.

Bring a piece of bark or cactus or any wonderful texture you adore (or use mine) to create the base for this one of a kind

work of art jewelry that is uniquely your own.

Don't forget to bring an 18 or 20 inch silver chain or leather cord so you can wear it right away. The chain in the photograph

is a popcorn chain. Let me know if you need one, I do have a few I can offer for sale. Cost would depend on price of silver.

I will have some PMC tools available for use if you don't have metal clay utensils.

If you are interested in purchasing a toolkit please let me know a week in advance.

Woven Silver Bead/PMC

Sat Feb 4 2:30pm to 6pm

Create a fine silver bead over an armature. This is an amazing way to experience PMC for the first time.

You will use lump, sheet and syringe all together in one piece. Wet and dry construction will be combined so you can

enjoy a complete silver clay introduction.

This is the bead I teach in private lessons for those who have never tried metal clay before. The reviews have

always been wonderful. My students have total confidence to go on to try other processes with a perfect example in hand.

I will make the same bead with you in class beginning to end.

You will learn so much with this little beauty!

I will have my PMC tool kits available for use if you don't have metal clay utensils. You can purchase your kit at the end

of class if you like. Not mandatory.

The kit is on my Tools page for reference.
